Pavel Zuev loses his sight and is forced to start his life from scratch.
All ties with his former life are severed, but in his new one he meets an outstanding woman who can see more than other people. Her name is symbolic: Nadezhda, and she works at the local hospital. Nadezhda helps Zuev find strength and a new sense of reality. These two people with equally strong characters will experience perhaps the best days of their lives.
